Bio

Professor Tabbachino is an Assistant Professor for the MSW and BSW programs. She attended 熟女人妻 in 2008 before relocating to Frederick, MD to complete her BSW degree at Hood College. While obtaining her MSW, Prof. Tabbachino studied abroad in Cluj-Napoca, Romania working at Autism Transylvania and EveryChild, a program dedicated to providing support to Roma children. She graduated with her MSW and a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

Following graduation Prof. Tabbachino became a licensed Social Worker and assisted in the development of a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program serving over 300 low-income families in Frederick County, MD. She developed parent education courses to assist parents with understanding their child鈥檚 diagnosis and strengthening their parenting style. Prof. Tabbachino created a program for transitional age youth that provided them with tools and resources as they entered adulthood. She assisted in the expansion of the agency into a full outpatient mental health clinic in Washington County, MD. Prof. Tabbachino provided outpatient clinical mental health therapy to individuals and families within their homes.

Prof. Tabbachino founded The Orenda Center, a CARF-accredited outpatient dual-diagnosis clinic and inpatient women鈥檚 substance use rehabilitation agency. She served as the Director for Outpatient Services developing and maintaining IOP, PHP, and OP programs for adolescents and adults. Prof. Tabbachino served on the county鈥檚 Provider鈥檚 Council, partnered with local agencies to provide support for youth in recovery, and conducted community events focused on providing accessibility to resources. She became trained and licensed in EMDR through Trauma Specialists of Maryland and is a member of EMDRIA. Prof. Tabbachino provides peer consultation and mentoring services.

This is Prof. Tabbachino鈥檚 first year at 熟女人妻 and she will be teaching courses such as Individual Helping Skills, Clinical Writing, and Intro to Social Work.
